Takbir!!! Allahu akbar!!!
While watching this, I couldn’t help but think of Imam Suhaib’s comment in the recent Egypt Today profile of him –
“I’m just Suhaib Webb. Who is Suhaib Webb? My wife can write a whole encyclopedia about my mistakes and my errors. I struggle to pray and wake up in the morning just like you. I struggle with my non-Muslim family members — I’m nothing when I go visit them. I’m William! ‘Yeh, I know this guy — I knew this guy when he used to pick his nose and play basketball.’ ”
The beauty is in the fact that he is both William and Imam Suhaib. When I was watching this, I saw my brother who has shared some of my struggles, and there was a love and familiarity in that. At the same time, I saw my teacher, in both word and action, and that brotherly love took on a quality of admiration and respect.
May Allah increase us all in beneficial knowledge, righteous actions, and purity of intention for His sake, ameen.
Thanks for the great advice.
Dear brother,
I’m loving it, all the way in Morocco. God bless!
Sincerely,
Hamza Weinman
i just watched suhaib overlooking a lazy montrealian sky from my ghetto. it felt like watching the taco savouring, super busy friday-imam of a sleepy college town, finishing his speed-spiels over a bowl of hot peppered desi curry. hope that happy guy is still somewhere hanging from the hem of his long shirt, withhout that imam suhaib would be just a man of knowledge.
Asalamu alaykum,

Or just a plain fool.

Asalamu Alaykum,
JazakAllah for great advice, should have more of these video reminders…
Mmmmmmm.. Top Deck Deli is where it’s at! JAK for the reminders, esp the fajr in the masjid…it’s not easy!
Here’s a shout-out from Texas to our shaykh Suhaib, (from oklahoma)
Even though he wore Sooner Maroon in Burnt Orange land… (a cardinal sin in the land of Longhorns) for the Imam An Nawawi 40 hadith class in Houston.
But truly in Islam it is the wonder that we join in brotherhood, and put away our vicarious and light hearted jabs of our respected football/and/or university programs. Alhamdulillah.
we make the du’a of AsalAllahu anyaghfiralaka wa anyarfa’adarajaataka wa anyajzeeaka al ajra wath thawab. Ameen.
May Allah bless you shaykh, and hope insha’aAllah we continue to benefit from you.
barakaAllahufeek, and preliminary data of everyone we talked to in Houston – we makin du’a for you, the class rocked the house, and more importantly the hearts.
JazakAllahukhair for keepin it real with us, do come back again, and again.
(or the forums -) ).

salaam, sami
about the masjid for fajr,
Allah makes it easy if you ask for it. Anyone can go to salat al-fajr at the masjid. You know if you go for salat al-fajr in the masjid, your whole entire day, allah will protect you.
