“Three things, if you do them, your life will change.” Dr. ‘Amir Wardani

Asalamu alaykum,

Dr. ‘Amir Wardani is the head of the fatwa training program here at the Egyptian Fatwa House. Today, in our class on “The Genius of Fatwa” he mentioned a million amazing things. However, this one, although simple in nature, motivated me to post it here.

“If you brothers do three things, inshallah, your lives will change and you will accomplish your goals. Just remember the word فرق Farq.

  1. Fa is for فرصة “opportunity” Grab it, when it jumps in front of you.
  2. Ra is for رغبة “Hope based on hard work” This speaks for itself.
  3. Qaf is for قدرة “Strength” Meaning, your ambitions will not arrive without hard work.”

Simple and straight to the point, I found this advice telling and hope I can live up to it.

    JAZAKALLAHU KHAIRAN!

May allah give the ones whom do not have the opportunity, grant and guide them to this opportunity. May Allah Give the Mu’minin the رغبة. And I ask Allah to give us all Strength to stand straight, firm, and steadfast. I ask Allah to keep our deen stable and strong. And I ask Allah to keep us among the Muslims, and give us Guidence. Verilty our lord is Allah. Whome is the All knower and the All Hearer.

#2 (Optimism) and #3 (Hard Work) are cherished in most cultures.

    The challenge is #1: Opportunity.

Opportunities are abound just about everywhere, but the ability to notice an opportunity and then capitalize on it is “Taufeeq” from Allah alone.
