    Also, I wondered if you could possibly give me some advice. How do you convince a non-muslim that circumcision for boys in necessary in Islam.

    I know somebody who has married a non-muslim man and now she has recently had a son. She called me this week as she wants to get her son circumcised but her husband has said that it is not mentioned in the Quran therefore it is not important, so he won’t agree for it to be done. Although he is Christian, he does allow her to teach the children Islam and they attend Arabic and Quran classes, but with this particular issue he is being quite stubborn. My friend does not want to go and ask in the Mosque because she is worried that people will give her a hard time for marrying this non-muslim in the first place (as she was born in to a muslim family) and she does not want to divorce him.
