    Salam Alaikum Sheikh!

You said in that video that you’re no longer Maliki but have gone over the the Jalali(?) school. I couldn’t find any information about that school. If you know of anything on the internet about it I’d appreciate it if you could send me a link.

    Jazak Allahu Khairun

    Salams

    Asalamu alaykum,

That was a joke. Our protein Sheikh, Raihan Jalali, was in the audience. He is a trainer who helps us middle aged fat guys get back in shape.

    assalamu alaikum

i’m trying to loose some weight and i’m finding it so difficult

i love chocolate and i rarely buy the healthy options at work, then i go home and mum’s delicious calorie rich food is too irresistable.

inshAllah i hope we all succeed in reaching our ideal target weight

also, from an islamic perspective- are their any hadiths about staying thin, keeping health- that sort of thing?

    fi amanillah

@ UK resident: in the description of the Prophet by Hind ibn Abi Haala, he says: “His figure was well proportioned, full bodied and strong. There was no slackness in his musculature, his chest didn’t protrude over his belly, nor the reverse.”

I think there is also a hadith about the End of Time, saying that the Muslim Ummah would become fat (lol in a more eloquent way of course) but I think Imam Suhaib should clarify!

umm? I live in the Inland Empire and never heard of the Islamic center of the Inland Empire. I had to search the net and I wasn’t surprised to find it was in the upscale wealthy part of the San Bernardino county..Rancho Cucamonga. In a county were 40% of people receive some form of government assistance why would you go to a masjid most never heard of or don’t have access to? Masjid Riverside and Dar al Uloom in San Bernardino are most known masajids in the IE.

Not disrespect Imam Suhaib but the divide between wealthy immigrants masajid and less wealthy convert masajid is issue that being talked in muslim blogosphere.

  10. Julianna says:
