Ma’sha’allah – another awesome, informative, fun lecture Imam Webb! You brought up so many great points (so glad you brought up that point about marriage) and I always manage to learn the deeper meaning behind a hadith or ayah from your lectures. I so wish that more of us learn the true meaning behind the Signs of Allah and words of the Prophet, because then the Ummah and thus the greater society, through our good acts to all, regardless of race or religion.

Also, I thought this would be the appropriate place to mention that I was absolutely heart-broken to miss your appearance in Portland recently (my home town), as I’m in Europe. I heard it was a great success and I believe you spoke at the masjid that I attend regularly (Bilal Masjid in Beaverton) in addition to your appearance at PSU. On behalf of myself and a dear Sister back home (who is also a big fan), and I’m sure of the entire Portland Muslim community, WE LOVE YOU Brother Suhaib!!! – for the Sake of Allah (best kinda love there is!)
and for all your efforts in helping us get through the various issues that afflict us American Muslims (and Muslims at large) that we face today. Glad to hear you are finally back in the ‘hood (West Coast!). I hope that somehow, I will be able to benefit in a more direct manner from your efforts in the future or that at least you make your way up Interstate 5 again soon insha’allah.

Imam Suhaib, you distinguish between converts and immigrants. However, the majority of Muslim students on campus are neither converts nor immigrants, they’re second generation Americans. What’s your take on them?
