jazakallahu khairan; this is very useful
Jazakumullahu khairan for sharing this, and to those who are contributing to the website.
I feel that there are not many students of al-Azhar in North America, and so not many people are really promoting the idea of studying there. In my community, and I suspect in most of NA, there is a strong push towards a) Madina, b) Syria/Jordan and to a much lesser extent Yemen, and c) local Dar-ul-Uloom boarding schools, depending on the trends within Islam one associates with.
So I am grateful to Imam Suhaib and others for putting al-Azhar back on the map.
Asalamu alaykum,
I wish I could say I had something to do with this. However, it was put together by a group of brothers and sisters from NA studying here. I'm just sitting in the stands drinking my chi.
