In fact, I played the part of a Western student who came to Madinah to study technology during an imagined future period, when Muslims dominate Science and Technology bisultani lLah. I hope we can do something like this in our communities - special event for girls only and boys only where we harness their talents and bountiful energy, and entertain the elders and toddlers. Together we build a sand-mosque in the sand (we are getting pretty good and even discovered cool ways to make minaras and domes!!) We always remember to take pictures of all the mosques we build in the sand for memories. And make du'a together that some day Allah will bless us with enough money to build a real mosque for the community. When all else fails, Disney Land is always fun :) Hey, it's a family place, no alcohol, it's magical, Anaheim has lots of HALAL places to eat... all they need now is a prayer room...
